Amoi N850 Review

Design
The  most showcased version  of the N850 is the grey coloured back and in all versions the front is black. Cameras placed on the back of phones are usually in the centre but this phones back camera is placed to the side.

System
Android 4.2 in pre installed which helps to make the phone fresh out the box, upgrading usually has consequences  on warranty and android 4.2 is the second to most up to date android version so convenient.

1GB of ram which is enough to do almost anything and the quad core CPU helps run task simultaneously, different cores run different tasks in basic. Of the 4GB rom 1.7 gb is default system so 2.3gb is free for use. An SD card up to 32gb can be used to store information which is good because using to much of the phones memory on storage means less for running programs and the speed of the phone will suffer.


SIM
Dual sim 2G and 3G which is pretty standard for a Chinese quad core phones courtesy of the MTK659 CPU chip. Never the less a being able to run two sims at a time potentially in a foreign land is handy.

Screen
Screen is 4.5 inches not enough to be a phablet but big by phone standards. Pixel resolution is 960x540 which is a QHD (quarter of full HD) andto be honest on screen this size even with perfect vison you would struggle to see the difference.


Cameras are 2.MP front and 5MP back which is ok but 8MP would be more fitting for the price of the phone. Regardless of what it doesent do well the Amoi N850 scored 12372 on a Antutu bechmark test equal to the Zopo ZP950+ a more expensive phablet about 4 months older. Which really shows how fast Chinese phones are developing. Very nice looking design and a smooth runner the benchmarks have shown how much quality you get with a well established Chinese brand like Amoi, a company that has done business with microsoft helps give the Amoi N850 assurance of quality.

Overall a good phone not the best for  about $20 more a cubot gt99 another 4.5 inch mtk6589 phone could be purchased and when compared the GT99 is better in so many ways screen resolution , 2.6gb free space, cameras, battery life and Antutu benchmark score 13271.
I would personally pay twenty dollars for the GT99 because I thinks its much better value for money.  Amoi N850 is good but not the best.
