Cubot P9 Review
Straight away the cubot P9 is a direct competitor to the cubot C11 due to close price and release date. And to be honest it's hard to tell them apart in so many ways however the P9 is using a slightly different version of the same MT6572 CPU the MT6572W.

System
Android 4.2.2 the second most advanced android to date is pre installed on the P9 and to be honest with recent Chinese phones release that has become the norm but still gives an advantage over slightly older model that require more updating.
Dual sim allowing one normal sim and another micro sim to be used. I find normal sims are easier to get my hands on at the local shops so I would rather a phone that took just normal sims but don't let that stop you regular sims can be cut down to micro sim size and used.
Cubots C11 did not have it and I complained but the P9 is endowed with 3G use which is a must have cheaper phones like the Doogee D100 have 3G so the p9 not having it like the C11 would be a real minus.
Rom space is 4GB and 512MB RAM which is respectable.
Design
Weighs 170 grams
Three sims slots in total two normal and one Micro sim that can be used on either a 2G or 3G network. Only two of the Sim slots can be used at once so dont be fooled by the pic.

Screen and Camera
Screen is 5 Inches and displays QHD (Quarter High definition). The screen is two point multi touch meaning two different points can be used simultaneously to operate the device. The C11 has a five point touch screen.
Front camera is 2MP
Back camera is 5MP with interpolation up to 8MP. Interpolation is the use of methods to add more pixels to a photo it is not genuine 8MP. Depending on the photo it can be accurate or inaccurate. So don't expect 8MP but its nice to have
the interpolation feature.
Conclusion
A two point screen on a five inch dispaly is wasted potential and the only area the C11 is the better cubot other than that wonderful phone alround.

Three SIM cards slots? Sorry, but his is not correct!
ReplyDeleteThe correct information is: Two SIM cards slots, 1 normal and 1 micro, plus 1 micro SD card slot.
according to the detailed information at TinyDeal. www.tinydeal.com/cubot-p9-50-mtk6572w-2-core-android-422-3g-wifi-phone-p-105934.html It's 2 SIM 2 Standby, not 3 SIM cards
Deletelol, three sim,THREE SIM,are you drunk...
ReplyDeleteNo. This is a dual sim phone. It has 1x Micro sim slot 1x normal Sim slot. That third slot you are bumbling on about is a micro SSD card slot. How do I know this? I have a brian, eyes and I own the phone. Are YOU drunk or stupid?
DeleteThe third card slot YOU are bumbling on about is NOT called a SIM slot, as you mentioned yourself it is called an SD card slot - the two are completely different things!
DeleteNo thats not a third Sim card slot. Its a SSD slot. Are you drunk pal?
ReplyDeleteSorry I spilled my voda lmfao
Deletecould some one help please do you have to use both sim cards in a cubot one or can you use just one sim card
ReplyDeleteYou can use one at a time
ReplyDeletebut do i need two installed
ReplyDeletei want to use only the one from my old mobile. Can i do this please?
ReplyDeleteWorst review I've ever read. Clearly a physical phone has not been used here and we just seem to be getting a critique on the phone's specifications, and even some of those are incorrect
