This is the first time I have ever had the pleasure of introducing a Chinese phone with android 4.4 so many models have peaked at android 4.2.9 which really justifies my opinion of the DG550 as being modern at least in terms of Operating System. An advance operating system takes away any need for rooting which destroys warranty and when your dealing with a phone around $190 no one wants that.

Even though I appreciate the black from and white back I would have liked to see the DG550 in silver because silver always give things technologically new feel so very appropriate for the phone. White looks good when new however as the phone gets dirty and ages having more colour options can be appealing, only one colour design is available. So far I have seen no case provided with the DG550 which adds to the problem, I suggest buying a universal case separately to preserve the phone. Speakers are located at the bottom so if you see a compatible case with holes there you have a winner. This is a long phone the screen is 5.5 inches and although I'm sure it's not much hassle bare in mind you ear is to the top of the phone so the phones volume will have to be a little louder than one with speakers higher up to hear your conversations which means a small loss of privacy.
