Why Gorilla glass is strong
Gorilla glass is strong because of a part of the manufacturing process called the ion exchange basically getting rid of the smaller sodium ions and replacing them with larger potassium ions which ocupy more space in the glass so increasing the ion density. The ions are pressed together producing compressive stress in the glass making the surface more resistant to damage.
Difference between gorilla glass 1 and 2
Gorilla Glass 2 is a thinner version of the original gorilla glass that is just as strong.
